Our Ethos and our Promises

(NOT in order of importance)

We don’t use Parabens in our products as they are not approved for use under natural or organic certifications.

Some skin and body care products use parabens as preservatives, however, parabens can be absorbed through the skin and mimic oestrogen in the body leading to long term and permanent effects on your normal hormonal function and metabolism.

We don’t use Sulphates in our products as despite them being approved by COSMOS and Ecocert in natural and organic skincare they are all shown to cause skin and eye irritations, especially if they are not washed off properly and when used in higher concentration.

Asset 49.png

These are petroleum-derived ingredients (i.e. the by-product of crude oil) and are very cheap, so they are used by skin care industry to bulk up even costly products.

Although we are not an accredited organic brand (yet) we don’t use them in our products either as all mineral oil-based ingredients that are from NON-renewable sources. Because of this these are not approved for use under organic and natural skincare certifications.

Asset 31.png

We don’t use any Phthalates in our products as they are confirmed to be endocrine disruptors (ED).

Asset 29.png

We don’t use silicones in our products as we prefer following the path towards a natural and organic skincare range. So we vote PURITY over longevity.

Although silicones are not considered unsafe to use, they are not certified by any certifying organisations for organic skincare, including Ecocert, the Soil Association and COSMOS and so we decided for this to be our leading principle as well.

Asset 35.png

None of our products are tested on animals and are all cruelty free. Not only because it is required by law, but because we believe this is the right and ethical thing to do.

Asset 32.png

Our way to give back to society and our communities is through our pledge to donate 5% of our profit to a mental health charity aiming to help struggling mums. This way a professional organisation can help with prevention, treatment and breaking of stigma associated with mental health issues, especially for mums, the backbone of society.

Asset 34.png

Whatever is in our products it is carefully selected and it is there for the purpose to do good for your skin and your wellbeing.

Asset 36.png

Due to seasonal variations some of the product’s colour and scent might be slightly different to a previous batch and we want to celebrate this natural diversity.

Asset 37.png

We aim to keep our prices reasonably low and not to over-inflate it like large companies with their marketing, branding, etc fees. This means that we are not able to procure large order quantities for packaging or ingredients, which means that we cannot utilise economies of scale to lower our prices further. We would rather emphasise our company being associated with quality products and putting some of our profits go back to society and our communities.

Asset 26.png

We don’t use synthetic fragrances, only those found naturally in essential oils. Be aware, however, that some components of essential oils can cause allergic reactions, although we have eliminated this as much as possible by carefully applying the safety standards that are in place by the IFRA (International Fragrance Association).

Dead Sea Salt

The water of the Dead Sea have been renowned for their therapeutic effects since ancient times. The waters from the Dead Sea are unique as they contain 27% of various salts compared to 3% in normal sea water.

Dead Sea Salt has a high content of Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium and Bromides.

Health benefits:

  • Within Dead Sea Salt, magnesium plays an important role for combating stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging, and calming the nervous system.

  • Calcium is an effective mineral at preventing water retention, increasing circulation, and strengthening bones and nails.

  • Potassium within the body, energises and helps to balance skin moisture. Potassium is a crucial mineral to replenish following intense exercise and thus make Dead Sea Salts ideal for use after exercise and strenuous activity.

  • Bromides act to ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles.

  • Sodium is important for the lymphatic fluid balance (this in turn is important for immune system function).

Many believe that Himalayan Pink Salt is the purest salt that can be found on the planet, having been enveloped in snow and ice for a millennia and being protected from the pollution and preserving in a pristine time capsule.

Himalayan Pink Salt contains 84 minerals and elements that can also be found in the human body, readily absorbed into your skin. Himalayan Salt is a wonderful detoxifier aiding the transfer of toxins.

Health benefits:

-relaxes and calms reducing fatigue, stress, pain while increasing feelings of contentment and emotional health
-some claim that Himalayan salt can generate negative ions creating the calming effect we experience on a beach
- it is questionable whether the trace amount of magnesium that it contains does actually provide any health benefits, however a scientific review suggested that magnesium might be able to enter the lymphatic system through the skin.
- a different small study suggested that spraying magnesium chloride solution on skin may reduce pain associated with fibromyalgia.
- good for acne-prone skin due to its antimicrobial properties, or even people suffering with/from psoriasis or eczema by reducing scaling, redness and irritation
- believed to alleviate itchiness and swelling caused by bug bites
- there is however no evidence to support claims that it can help with weight loss, insomnia, poor circulation, respiratory ailments or bloating

Therapeutically cleansing and rejuvenating Epsom salts are often used as bath soak due to their amazing natural mineral properties.

Did you know that Epsom salt got its name from an English town in Surrey, Epsom. Epsom salt’s scientific name is Magnesium Sulphate.

Health benefits:

  • Epsom salts are easily absorbed into the skin where the magnesium ions in the salt break apart and begin to relieve stress by promoting the production of serotonin and reducing the effects of adrenaline. Magnesium can give the feeling of rejuvenation, without restlessness and anxiety.

  • Relieve Pain and Cramping - Because the magnesium is absorbed by the skin, magnesium helps reduce inflammation in muscles and joints. It can be useful in dealing with tension headaches and cramps. Tired, sore and weary feet will benefit from Epsom Salts. The anti-inflammatory effects can be useful in dealing with Sprains and Bruises.

  • Improve Circulation - Magnesium helps improve circulation and prevent serious cardiovascular illness by decreasing inflammation and protecting the elasticity of arteries.
